Halawa Park to Kilohana Elementary School: 14.2 miles (28,400 steps) 

Halawa Park to Kakaha’ia Park 21.8 miles (43,600 steps) 

Halawa Park to Nā Puʻuwai  28.9 miles (57,800 steps) 

Halawa Park to Kualapu’u Charter School 33.8 miles (67,600 steps) 

Halawa Park to Maunaloa Elementary School 44.2 miles (88,400 steps ) 

2000 steps = 1 mile

Aloha kākou East to West Challenge Participants: Mahalo for joining the Nā Puʻuwai East to West Challenge group and signing up for the challenge! Unfortunately, we were not able to sign up enough participants to activate the challenge. We will be announcing a new date for the challenge, so stay turned!

Following the holidays, Nā Puʻuwai will be hosting a FREE event to help us stay active through the holidays!
Participants will be encouraged to walk/run the equivalent of the distance from the East End to Maunaloa in 10-days.

  2. Create a free account 
  3. Join the  Puʻuwai Group in Pacer
    1. Search for the Nā Puʻuwai East to West Challenge with the group code: BCX1748

Rules

  1. Open to everyone! 
  2. Be Safe! 
    • Walk in well lighted and safe areas away from traffic. 

    • Wear comfortable shoes. 

    • Hydrate before and after exercises. 

    • Wear visible or reflective garments. 

Prizes

  1. Everyone that reaches the equivalent of Nā Puʻuwai wins a surprise gift bag. 
  2. Everyone that reaches the equivalent of Maunaloa will be entered into a prize drawing for an Apple Watch or 1 year Fitness Center Membership. 
  3. Everyone that completes the full challenge will be entered into a prize drawing for free one month fitness memberships (5) and a grand prize of an Apple Watch or 1 year fitness center membership.
